Final study of the RegIonCo project
The Austrian-Hungarian cooperation RegIonCo, started in 2008, is slowly coming to its closure. The comprehensive bilingual report on the experiences and achievements of the joint work is expected to get published in January 2012.
From the medical waste management to the efficient use of resources
The next conference of the Austrian-Hungarian project HEALTH with focus on “From the Medical Waste Management to the Efficient Use of Resources” is going to take place on the 8th of June 2011, hosted by the Hospital in Bruck an der Mur (Austria). Some of the conference topics:
• Overview of the resource management – first steps of waste avoidance
• General sector concepts and standards in the Austrian and Hungarian medical waste management
• Ecological procurement in Austria and Hungary
• Waste management and the efficient environmental team in action

Posters against energy waste
We could do very much for the energy-saving lifestyle even with simple care, if we observe some of the basic rules at home and at the work too. One of the main objectives of the Austrian-Hungarian project HEALTH is to improve energy efficiency in health care. In the scope of the project we designed awareness-raising informative posters in order to call patients’ and hospital staff’s attention to energy-efficiency. The posters have been placed in 13 health care institutions of the cross-border region.
Innovative Approaches in Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment
We are preparing the third international medical symposium of the Austrian-Hungarian cooperation project RegIonCo. The subject of the conference will be the “innovative approaches in cancer diagnosis and treatment”.
